Bird watching…

Sooo I’ve been quiet on the blog for a minute…because all my big girl words have been being used with my leasing office. We left off with them telling me how they couldn’t help with the repositioning of my neighbors ring camera. Then the day after I sent an email letting them know I was dropping the issue, I got one letter from their lawyers on my door…and two more (of the same exact letter) in my mailbox…about how legal the cameras are. After that…I received a random email request to verify my income. And it was at that moment…that I realized these people really are f*cking with me.

I replied to ask why this information was being requested…insinuated this was starting to feel like harassment…and told them to tell their lawyer not to contact me again. The response I received from the manager was that the income request was sent “in error”…as a result of an audit being conducted. I didn’t like that response, so I started asking questions. Which led to me requesting proof of the alleged “audit”, by way of a redacted email…sent out to another resident. After about a week, I was sent a document that was clearly photoshopped (allegedly)…because the subject line was missing.

The manager failed miserably at explaining the subject line exclusion…by advising it was removed because “it listed the resident’s personal information”. So I sent a screenshot of the same email I received…with the subject line…not including any personal info. Pointing this out must’ve ruffled some feathers, because the Regional Manager involved herself…and CC’d their lawyer into the email chain. I was accused of being accusatory/inappropriate, chastised for my tone…and told to clean up my communication or I’d be forced to only be allowed to speak to them through their attorney. So I replied with a Google screenshot showing that it’s impossible to remove the subject line on an email that’s already been sent out. And now…all their chirping has stopped.
