Attention is the kind of drug that certain souls sell their eternities for. The concept of outsourcing something you can supply yourself with…in exchange for a product that can’t be reproduced…confuses tf out of me. But for people who can’t see past filling a void of validation…being paid in attention is a success story. Because that attention can bring affluence…depending on the purity of what’s purchased. And the purer the soul sold…the more demonic they must become…in order to keep eyes, they didn’t earn, on them. Eventually, the price of doing business costs more than what it’s worth. So the soulless turn into liabilities, who lose their ability to get high…off their quest to inherit the world…(’s) gaze.
